Got Questions?
I’ve got the answers to your questions right here. (At least how *I* do things!)
Tantrums are a normal part of parenting. I start with a deep breath and I try to stay calm and acknowledge my daughters feelings. (It’s not always easy, and I don’t always get this right!) But, sometimes a distraction, like a fun song or a silly dance, can help turn things around. Sometimes, it’s just wrapping her in my arms and telling her I love her. And other times, cheese comes to save the day. Remember, it’s all part of the chaotic yet beautiful journey! They are only this young today!
When will they sleep through the night?
Ah, the million-dollar question! at 19 months, my daughter STILL doesn’t sleep through the night. (Red Bull has become my BFF. *not sponsored*) All kids are different. Some kids sleep well at night, others need more help. My nephew had night terrors from 2-3 and would wake up screaming. The most important part is to do your best not to get frustrated! (We’ll all sleep when we’re dead anyways.)
What’s the best snack for toddlers?
Think small and fun! Finger foods are a hit—try cut-up fruits, yogurt, or cheese sticks. And don’t forget to sneak in some veggies when you can. If all else fails, let them discover the joys of peanut butter and jelly… mess included! My daughter LOVES cheese, (especially pre-shredded.) But, I’m also a firm believer in baby led weaning and having her eat whatever I’m eating. She LOVES edamame, and we only found out because I share with her!
